- How to Identify the Quality of Heavy-Duty Racks?

With the development of society, heavy-duty racks have gradually entered our lives, but do you really understand them? Let me briefly explain below.
After the installation of heavy-duty racks, their quality can be identified mainly from the following aspects:
Rack Material: Heavy-duty racks are generally made of cold-rolled steel profiles, preferably national standard ones. However, few manufacturers use national standard materials (mainly due to cost issues). The simplest way to verify quality is to conduct a load-bearing test according to the agreed load capacity between both parties.
Rack Structure:
For rack columns: Check if the bending of the cross-section is sufficient and uniform. The more uniform and symmetrical the bending structure, the better the rack performance.
For rack beams: Focus on the beam hook structure and how the beams connect to the columns. More hooks on the beams are better, as more hooks mean better load-bearing capacity. When the beam hooks are attached to the columns, check if the contact between the hooks and columns is tight and consistent. The inner side of the hooks should fit closely against the column sides with no gaps—this structure ensures stability, good load-bearing capacity, and long service life.
Surface Treatment of Racks: The surface spray coating of the racks should be uniform and have strong adhesion. To check uniformity, look at the inner edges of the column holes—there should be no missed coating areas. For adhesion testing, gently tap the coating with a hard object; if the coating peels off easily, the rack will be prone to rust.
In addition, compared with other general warehouses, the equipment requirements for product warehouses are more standardized and strict. Product warehouses must not only meet the basic conditions of a warehouse itself but also continuously enhance standardization and improvement in accordance with GSP requirements. Therefore, the continuous improvement of combined rack management is the foundation for making product warehouse management more neat, standardized, and orderly, and it is a crucial link in this process.
